Didn't plan on stumbling upon this place but I'm glad I did! Pretty concise menu so the freshness of the food was pretty on par with what I expected. Service was good and the place was clean. Its a little tightly packed inside but well worth the price and the quality and speed of the food preparation and service. They are willing to make dietary accommodations and to meet individual needs and requests. Loved it!

Good food, but I had to wait a long time for takeout from seamless. I put my order in and they never saw it so I had to come back an hour later. Food is tasty, wish they saw my order.

I've loyally attended Spice at Union Square for years. The service has always been nothing short of excellent and the food has always been delicious. Spice has amazing happy hour deals and their specialty drinks are truly something to appreciate. It's a place I'm more than happy to attend myself for a meal and drink or two after work but that is equally well suited for a date. I will continue to give Spice my money happily as they clearly stick to a very high standard here.

Probably one of the worst service experiences I've ever had in New York. We had a reservation for our group of 8 people for 7:00 PM on a Thursday and were not seated until 7:20. My dish came out 15 minutes after everyone else's at my table and our server either didn't notice and chose not to apologize when I said something or did notice and just didn't care enough to let me know. I honestly don't know which is worse. Having worked in customer service in the past I am extremely patient when it comes to mistakes but the way this was handled, or more appropriately, not handled at all, was entirely unacceptable. Before I even notice that my food is going to take longer than expected, it is your responsibility to give me a heads up and apologize to me. I asked to speak with the chef or manager and was ignored. When our bill came the restaurant had already added 18% gratuity but had not indicated that anywhere on the check so we ended up over-paying. The mistake was fixed but adding 18% was a pretty ballsy move on your part, Spice, since the service you provided was honestly worth about a 5% tip. Oh, and the food itself was good but nowhere near as good as other places that charge half the price elsewhere in the city. I'm really looking forward to never eating here again.

The food here is great! I 100% recomment the Drunk Man Noodle, as it's very flavourful and spicy. If you prefer egg noodles, you could also go with their seafood special (pictured here). Their golden fritters are excellent, and the drinks are quite generous portions. On top of that, the ambiance is nice - dark enough mood lighting for a date, but still casual enough for just dinner with a friend. Good things all around!
